OUR pick of tonight's TV choices.
Our Shirley Valentine Summer (ITV, 9.30pm)
It's now 32 years since playwright Willy Russell introduced audiences to Shirley Valentine, the put-upon Liverpool housewife who rediscovers her zest for life on a holiday in Greece.
Three years later, the play was turned into a film, with Pauline Collins taking the titular lead role which she had previously played in the stage production in London's West End and on Broadway, and Tom Conti playing Costas Dimitriades, the moustachioed owner of a Greek tavern with whom she has a holiday romance.
Taking inspiration from Russell's iconic heroine, eight celebrity women who have all reached a crossroads in their lives, are now heading to the Greek islands for fun, friendship and even romance.
ITV's Jane Beacon and Clare Ely, who also created Love Island, have commissioned the makers of The Real Marigold Hotel, Twofour, to produce the series.
But that's not to say Love Island and Our Shirley Valentine Summer are the same - if you have grown a little tired of the super-buff bodies in Majorca, this programme should offer viewers a delightful alternative.
These ladies may be single and ready to mingle, but they won't be faced with the same 'love' conundrums as those moral-less young bucks in Love Island.
David Clews, Creative Director at Twofour, said: "We can't wait to take our brilliant cast of 'Shirleys' over to Greece.
"Their summer in the sun will be a jam-packed experience - discovering new passions and rediscovering themselves as they get to grips with local life and the local dating scene.
"This is going to be a wonderfully warm, funny and heartfelt adventure. Hopefully with some romance too."
So who are the 'Shirleys' crammed together inside a Greek villa for four hour-long episodes?
First up there's former Glamour model and TV presenter Melinda Messenger, who split from her husband Wayne Roberts in 2012 and also dated her coach from TV show The Jump, Warren Smith.
She is joined by comedian Ninia Benjamin and Italian-British lawyer Nancy Dell'Olio who is perhaps best known for being the former partner of ex-England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson.
Meanwhile, ITV weather reporter Sian Lloyd is also heading to Greece, where she is sure to be keeping a close eye on the love forecasts.
TV personality Lizzie Cundy was married to former Chelsea footballer Jason Cundy for 18 years and writes columns for a number of gossip magazines, while former TV/radio presenter turned psychotherapist Annabel Giles was married to the lead singer of Ultravox, Midge Ure, in the 1980s.
The group is completed by TV personality and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host Chris Tarrant's ex-wife Ingrid, and How Clean is Your House star Aggie MacKenzie, who many expect to spend time dusting down all the communal space in the villa.
Although there has been no confirmation as to where the series is filmed, we can look forward to some Greek island hopping and there is a strong chance that Mykonos, where the original Shirley Valentine movie was filmed, will feature heavily.
But regardless of the actual destination, there's no chance our ladies will be slumming it in E10 hostels.
Tonight's first episode sees the eight women, who are all single and have different personal goals, move in together and set out to explore the islands.
Some of the girls have stated they want the opportunity to learn a new skill or test drive a new career, while others are looking for love.
Will they learn something new about themselves as they work out to do during the next chapter of their lives? And can they forget about their lives back home for a while and become Shirley Valentines again?
George Clarke's Old House, New Home (C4, 8pm)
New series. Architect George Clarke returns to unlock the potential of old houses. He meets teachers Simon and Sofie, whose 1930s Liverpool semi has lost its way thanks to a small kitchen squeezed into what would have been the wash house and some dodgy interior design choices made by the previous owner. Can he come up with a structural redesign and interior scheme with just £15,000? He also visits a medieval farmhouse in Kent that's like a perfectly preserved time capsule and needs an upgrade suitable for a young and rapidly growing family.
Why Size Matters (BBC4, 9pm)
Why are things the size they are? It's probably not a question that many of us have given much thought, but in this new series Hannah Fry sets out to explain why it is so important. She begins by asking how life would be different if we inhabited a bigger planet and finds that scaling the Earth up would have a big effect on gravity - meaning lying down would become the new standing up. She also discovers what humans would be like if we were 15metres tall and learns more about Gigantopithecus, the biggest ape to ever exist.
Eamonn & Ruth: How the Other Half Lives (C5, 9pm)
To many viewers, it may seem like Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford already lead the lifestyles of the rich and famous. But if there's anywhere that can make them feel like the poor relations, it's probably Monaco, which has more millionaires per capita than any place on Earth. Here, the presenters find out what life is really like in the playground of the super-rich as multi-millionaire former Formula 1 boss Flavio Briatore invites them into his exclusive club to learn more about the tastes of Monaco's celebrity residents. The couple are also let loose in a wine cellar worth an estimated $80million. But if it all leaves you considering moving there, be warned - the programme sees Eamonn and Ruth discovering how little $30million will get you in the Monaco property market.
