A WOMAN is in hospital with serious injuries after falling from a third storey window at a house in Ripon.
The 43-year-old, who has not been named by police, was discovered in the garden of the house in Princess Terrace, off North Road, shortly after 2am on Sunday.
Her condition was later described by police as critical but stable in Harrogate District Hospital.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service sent an ambulance to the scene at 2.19am after it was alerted by police.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: ''We are at the very early stages of investigating the circumstances leading up to the incident. Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of North Road at the time or has any other useful information.''
