Youth theatre
A DOUBLE bill from the Georgian Theatre Royal’s Youth Theatre will take place at the theatre on July 17 at 7.30pm. The company will perform The Belle View, a cautionary tale inspired by Beauty and the Beast, and Ash, a modernised Cinderella story. Book signing
A BOOK-signing with Peter Robinson, author of the DCI Banks series, will take place at Castle Hill Bookshop, Richmond, on July 21 at 11am. Mr Robinson will be signing copies of his new book, Careless Love, until noon. Entry is free.
Battle briefing
THE next open meeting of Northallerton and District Local History Society on July 10 will be devoted to a new look at the Battle of the Standard in its 880th anniversary year. The talk by Anthony Wood starts at 7pm at at the Sacred Heart Church Hall. Non-members welcome for £3.
Flower club
SOWERBY Flower Club are hosting a demonstration by Sue Spencer at Sowerby Parochial Hall at 2pm on July 5. Visitors are welcome with the £4 fee including tea and biscuits.
