DURHAM City Cricket Club is bowled over with practice nets it has installed with money from a national funding programme.
The facilities, which include non-turf practice wickets, with fully enclosed net areas and security fencing, have been funded by a grant of just over £60,000, from the Community Club Development Programme (CCDP) and contributions from Durham City Council.
The CCDP is a funding scheme developed by Sport England and the Government to develop stronger links between the country's leading clubs and their communities.
The English Cricket Board selected Durham to benefit from the fund on the strength of the club's junior development programme.
The club has more than 120 junior cricketers.
