THE Red Wyvern Society will be re-enacting life in the 15th Century at Thorp Perrow Arboretum, near Bedale, at the weekend.
The event is set in 1460, at the height of the Wars of the Roses, when landowners at Middleham Castle, Snape Hall, Bedale and Castle Bolton, all close to Thorp Perrow, were renowned Yorkists.
It includes demonstrations of arms and armour, archery, cooking and crafts, from Saturday to Monday, 10am to 5pm daily.
Admission is £6.10 for adults, £4.80 for pensioners and £3.30 for children.
