YOUNGSTERS at a Teesside nursery hope to play their part in a world record bid to shake 100,000 hands.
A fun day will be held at High Flyers Children's Centre, Tedder Avenue, Thornaby, on Thursday, August 30, between 11.15am and 2pm.
DJ Graham Mack, from TFM Radio, will be continuing his efforts to shake 100,000 hands when he appears at the event.
Children will be able to enjoy mini sports, a gymnastics display by members of the Robert Atkinson Centre, face-painting and craft activities. Local band 21 Reasons will perform.
Councillor Alex Cunningham, Stockton Borough Council's cabinet member for children and young people, said: "This promises to be a fun-packed day with lots of entertainment, but information too."
