A PET shop is giving youngsters a chance to learn how to look after wildlife at a workshop this week.
Pets at Home, at the Arnison Centre, Pity Me, Durham, will hold the sessions - Caring for Wildlife - on Thursday, at 11am and 3pm.
The sessions are part of the store's Summer Passport Scheme and are designed to increase awareness and knowledge of how to look after and sustain local wildlife.
Event manager Linda Whiting said: "The Pets at Home Summer Passport scheme for kids is an ideal activity to get children involved in how to care for animals, and their pets, responsibly, in a fun and enjoyable way."
The workshop will explore the many aspects of wildlife and teach youngsters how to encourage wildlife into their own gardens and care for wildlife in the local area.
