HARRISON Berry is getting ready to welcome newcomers to a housing development where he has lived throughout his life - all seven weeks of it.
Harrison was born just a few days after his parents moved into their new home in Thorngate Court, Barnard Castle, at the end of June.
He is going on duty, along with his three-year-old brother, Dylan, to greet prospective buyers who turn up to look over the properties when they go on show on Saturday.
His father, Brian Berry, and mother, Louise Peart, thought their new house might not be ready in time for the birth, but developers Hymas and Hall made sure it was completed ahead of schedule.
Graham Hall, one of the directors, said: "We knew the baby was on the way, so we pulled out all the stops to give the couple a chance to move in before he arrived."
Ms Peart added: "Graham worked wonders to get our house finished before Harrison was born.
"We are grateful to him and his team. We have settled in well."
Ms Peart will be with Harrison and Dylan on Saturday, helping tell any prospective buyers how much she enjoys living there, before they take a look round the six new town houses.
The homes are expected to be available shortly and are being sold by Charltons estate agency.
Prices range from £205,000 to £295,000.
