A PENSIONER has died in hospital after he came off his motorbike on a country road last week.
The man has been named by police as Barrington Percival, a 68-year-old from the Stockton-on-Tees area.
Mr Percival was travelling on his red Yamaha on the A177 towards Stockton, a mile south of Sedgefield, County Durham, on Thursday. The accident, at about 5.30pm, led to the road being closed for three hours.
He was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, but later transferred to The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, where he died on Saturday.
Police are appealing for witnesses to call 0845-60-60-365.
