DETECTIVES will today interview a man arrested in Hampshire following the discovery of a man's body in Hartlepool.
The unidentified victim, believed to be in his 20s, was found dead with multiple stab wounds in a flat above Italianos Pizzeria on Park Road in Hartlepool, on Wednesday.
A suspect was arrested by officers from Hampshire police near to Southampton on suspicion of murder and was brought back to Hartlepool last night.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: "Officers are going to interview a man who was arrested in Hampshire in connection with the Hartlepool murder. He will be questioned during the course of the day.'' She said the murder victim had still not been formally identified, but inquiries were on going to trace relatives, to assist in identifying the dead man.
A post mortem has established that the man died from multiple stab wounds.
