A 68-YEAR-OLD motorcyclist is in a critical condition in James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough after he fell from his machine while overtaking.
The accident happened on the A177 between Sedgefield and Stockton at around 5.25pm last night, one mile from Sedgefield, County Durham. The southbound carriageway was closed for three hours.
The man, from Stockton and who suffered serious head injuries, was riding a red Yamaha. No other vehicle was involved.
Witnesses are asked to call Durham police on 0845-606365.
