A ROAD has been reopened after a spillage during rush hour traffic this morning.
Police closed off a section of Haverton Hill Road, near Stockton, around 8.30am after reports of a white foamy substance on the carriageway.
Firefighters were on the scene while experts examined the substance.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "The road has now been reopened. Analytical tests have found the substance to be non-toxic and the Environment Agency has also asked the fire service to swill the substance back into the drains."
