A LORRY driver had a lucky escape when his unit caught fire on the A66.
Firefighters from Richmond and Colburn were called to the scene west of Scotch Corner, North Yorkshire, around 8.40am on Tuesday.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire fire and rescue said the Volvo refrigerated unit was carrying a load of chilled food when it is believed a blown turbo unit leaked oil onto an exhaust.
The lorry was destroyed in the incident.
