PAWS were put to the test in their thousands at a dog agility show extravaganza in Teesdale this Easter weekend.
One thousand dogs competed in the scheduled four-day Longfield Easter Show, at Park House Farm, Gainford, between Barnard Castle and Darlington, which was cut short due to Monday's bad weather.
Despite losing one day due to snow and rain, the event attracted three to four hundred visitors who flocked to watch hounds take on jumps, tunnels and obstacles in a bid to win titles.
Kenny Waddell, owner of Longfield Agility Shows, which hosted the display, said: “The show started on Friday but we had to cancel [on Monday]. But it has been fine because the dogs don’t really mind about the mud.”
Longfield Agility Shows held the event over Bank Holiday weekend last year.
The show at Gainford is one of six road events the team, of North Lincolnshire, put on.
