A YORKSHIRE motorcyclist has been forced to reschedule a charity fundraiser due to flooding.
Mick White, of Lawrence Street, in York, plans to raise money for the Meningitis Research Foundation.
He is to use the annual Louis Motocross Club Race Meeting, which takes place near York, but the recent bad weather saw the meeting's Wilberfoss site flooded and the event postponed.
The motorcyclist was forced to put back his charity ride from August 6 to August 27.
Mr White organises the event in memory of his one-year-old son, Louis, who died of meningitis in July 2002.
The event starts at noon and four races of differing ability are to be held. Entry to the event costs £3 for over-16s, with under-16s free if accompanied by an adult.
