A 50-YEAR-OLD woman biker died early this morning when her 850cc three-wheeler ploughed into a road sign near Wolsingham, County Durham.
Police said the woman, who is from the Galashiels, in the Scottish Borders, went straight over a give way junction at Redgate Head, crossing the B6296 and hitting the sign on the northern verge.
She had been travelling west on the B6297 from Tow Law sometime before 2am.
Although the trike was seen at 2am the tragedy, was not reported until 2.40am.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
