AN afternoon tea dance takes place later this month aimed at people who use a careline service.
More than 130 people are expected to attend the event, which will be held at Durham County Cricket Club's Riverside Stadium, Chester-le-Street, on Wednesday, August 22, from 1pm.
Live music from a local band, refreshments, raffles and exhibitions will be available, with free transport if needed.
It has been organised by the Chester-le-Street District Council-run Careline service.
Careline manager Carol Kay said: "The purpose of the event is to have some fun, and also to talk to other service users and provide the council with valuable feedback on the way in which the Careline service is being delivered.
"There will also be an opportunity to register to join the Careline User Forum where they can have their say and help shape the future delivery of the service."
Tickets, which are limited to one per person, are available from Lisa Coverdale, Careline's control centre manager, on 0191- 388-7588.
