WORK to link two schools will be discussed next week.
The improvements, proposed as part of plans to join Tanfield Lea junior and infant schools, will go before Durham County Council's planning committee on Friday.
The plans include an 80-metre covered walkway linking the two schools, which would be made of steel with clear panelling.
There are also plans for a 19-bay car park, with a new path to the school buildings, an access ramp to the junior school, and a 1.8-metre boundary fence.
Planning officers have recommended the proposals for approval.
