A THREE-month campaign has been launched in east Durham to help raise awareness of three life-threatening cancers.
The project, called Talking about Cancer and organised by County Durham and Darlington Primary Care Trust, is being conducted from a "blitz" bus.
It is focusing on lung, breast and bowel cancers, and aims to make people more aware of the benefits of early detection, with the help of leaflets and information from staff and volunteers.
The first event, about lung cancer, was staged yesterday.
