A lot can be gained from a victory they say, but even more from a defeat. This was certainly the case today.
Last night the group draws were made. Team England was drawn into pool B with USA, Thailand, Spain and Austria. The team played the opening game of the tournament against the USA.
It could clearly be seen the Americans do a lot of training and preparation as they were a great side. The team lost via the twenty eight-point rules, 28-0. The American pass rusher was really fast and the flag just seemed to stick in his hand.
In the second game the team faced reigning European champions Austria. The teams were obviously non-favorites for the game as they finished lower in the EFC's in June in Frankfurt. Although it did not go that way. The team lost by three points 35-32 in a really tight game where Austria saw one of there star players get his nose broken by Jake "The Hitman" Job, accidentally of course.
A big part of the day was when England receiver Kiaran Dixon was the first ever-English player to score a touchdown at the world finals. The team cannot qualify for the semi-finals now but it has been a great day for players, supporters and coaches.
