MIDDLESBROUGH Football Club in the Community are currently recruiting teams for the new season of the popular Box Clothing Youth League.
After a highly successful 2006/07 season a number of new teams are required to ensure the ongoing success of the league. Local company Box Clothing are again kindly supporting the league ensuring substantial rewards for the winning team, top goalscorer and player of the league.
These will be presented pitch side prior to a Middlesbrough home Premier League match. The recruitment of new teams is now underway and everyone is welcome to enter, the only condition being that all players must be under 17 on August 1, 2007.
The league is for 7-a-side teams and all matches are played on the astroturf at the MFC in the Community centre on Normanby Road. Entries are welcome from school or college teams and local clubs as well as teams made up of groups of friends.
Everyone participating last season had a great time with Stockton West End, who won the league last year saying it was "well run" and "a first class competition."
The aim is to again improve in terms of quality and numbers in the league.
If you would be interested in entering a team application forms are now also available from reception at the MFC in the Community centre on Normanby Road. For any further details please contact David Maude on 01642 282128 or e-mail David.Maude@mfcp.co.uk
