Graeme Storm might have enjoyed the steadiest and most memorable of opening rounds on Thursday, but his second round was a bit more dramatic.
Five under par and overnight leader, Storm was the only player not to drop a shot in the opening round.
But his second round saw him finish six over for the day - one over for the tournament to slip to the verge of the top 20.
Storm, after a 65 on Thursday, finished with a 76 today for a two round total 141.
He started today with a two dropped shots in his first three holes, on two and three.
Back to back birdies put the Hartlepool man back to level par for the day, but he dropped a shot on the seventh and suffered a double bogey on the eighth.
One more shot was clawed back on the par four ninth and he entered the back nine still in top spot on the leaderboard.
The back nine, however, saw shots dropped on 10 and 12 before a welcome birdie on the par 5 13th.
Holes 15 and 16 brought more dropped shots for the Wynyard Club member before a par on 17 and a bogey on 18.
