BRAVE Callum Hunter has raised £233 for his Cubs group with a sponsored walk - despite suffering from cerebral palsy.
The ten-year-old cast aside his wheelchair to march from Skerne Park, on the outskirts of Darlington, to the town clock, in the town centre.
"It's quite an achievement for him," said Callum's grandmother, Angela Hunter. "Cerebral palsy affects his lower limbs and his left arm, so he has trouble walking.
"We are very proud of him. We took him out for dinner afterwards with all the family as a treat."
The Skerne Park Juniors pupil, who is a member of the Cubs pack at Elmridge, won The Northern Echo's Positive Young People award in 2003 for his continuing battle with cerebral palsy.
