A MOTHER is opening her garden to the public to help her daughter's school raise money for an Indian orphanage.
Heather Armstrong is holding an open garden day with an Indian theme at her two-and-a-half-acre garden in Croft, later this month.
The day will help Mrs Armstrong's 17-year-old daughter, Charlotte, who attends Richmond School, raise money for an Indian orphanage, which some pupils from the school will visit next year.
Charlotte is hoping to be one of the 20 students selected.
The garden, at Monkend Farm, in Croft, boasts a natural pond, lavender walkways, herbaceous borders and hidden walks.
The event is on Bank Holiday Monday, August 27, from 1pm to 5pm.
