A WORKSHOP teaching children how to look after fish will be held in Durham today.

The Caring for Fish workshop is being run by Pets at Home and will include puzzles, quizzes and advice.

Youngsters can also pick up a pet passport for their fish and will be given a Cool Summer certificate.

Linda Whiting, from Pets at Home, said: "If we teach children at an early age what it means to own a pet, animals are more likely to go to the right kind of home."

The workshop will be held in Pets at Home, in the Arnison Retail Centre, Pity Me, from 11am to 3pm. For details, call 0845-641-4008.
