A VANDAL smashed the window of a police car while officers were inside it last night.
North Yorkshire Police said the police vehicle was in Bilton Lane, in Harrogate, close to St John's Church, when someone broke the window using a drainpipe.
A police spokeswoman said the officers in the car were not hurt in the attack, which happened at about 8pm yesterday.
Anyone who saw the attack, or has information which could help police is urged to phone 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
