AN annual Battle of Britain event will return to a North-East town next month.
Middlesbrough’s annual Battle of Britain parade and service will this year take place on Sunday, September 17.
This year marks the 77th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and in commemoration, 1869 (Middlesbrough) Squadron Air Training Corps will be on parade.
The parade will form at the South African War Memorial in Albert Park at 11.25am and march to the Cenotaph for the service at 11.30am.
Following the service the parade will march through the park gates for the salute to be taken at the War Memorial. The parade will then be dismissed.
Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Tennis Pavilion in Albert Park.
