A FRESH appeal has been launched to trace a man who was dragged from a car with a blood on his face during the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident happened just before 2am on Rosslare Road in Stockton, when a silver Renault Megane collided with the front of a house.

None of the occupants of the property were injured, however two children who were asleep on a sofa in the living room of the house at the time of the incident were left extremely shaken.

A witness saw a man, believed to be in his teens, being dragged from the silver Megane injured and with blood on his face.

Another man who is described as being aged in his twenties with black hair and wearing a grey tracksuit dragged him from the car.

Detective Sergeant Kenneth Clark said: “We are continuing to appeal for the male from the silver Megane, who is now believed to be the driver, to get in touch with us so that we can check on his welfare.

"We believe he was injured when he was dragged from the car."
