A MAN accused of the murder of a motorcyclist has appeared before a judge for the first time.
Matthew Philip Buckworth, of Charlton Garth in Guisborough, was arrested after the death of 17-year-old Sonny Stephenson following an incident on the evening of Sunday August 27 in Bolckow Street, Guisborough.
The 34-year-old appeared briefly at Teesside Crown Court via a live video-link from Durham Prison.
He was remanded further into custody, and it is expected he will next be at court on November 3.
Judge Simon Bourne-Arton, QC, suggested a trial date could be set for May.
