A WOMAN was shot in the leg with a suspcted air rifle, police have revealed.
The woman, 61, was shot on Tuesday afternoon (August 29) at around 2.30pm in Albert Park in Middlesbrough.
The vicim, who suffered bruising to her leg as a result of the shooting, was walking near to the Park Road South entrance when the incident occured.
It is believed the driver of a grey Landrover may have witnessed the incident and Cleveland Police would like the driver of this vehicle to come forward as they may be able to assist with enquiries.
