A CHIEF constable is to be the guest speaker at an event on policing organised by a county residents’ group, next month.
Mike Barton, who has headed Durham Police since 2012, will discuss the challenges faced by the force, in his presentation at Belmont Community Centre, off Sunderland Road, Gilesgate Moor, Durham, on Thursday September 28.
He is the principal speaker at the event, Policing in County Durham, staged by the County Durham Residents’ Association.
Registration for the forum will take place from 9.30am, followed by a 10am start, with the discussion concluding by 2pm.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided for all those attending, but remaining available places are said to be limited.
