MUSICIANS are invited to join a popular orchestra.
The Darlington Orchestra has vacancies for string players and in their wind and brass sections.
There are no auditions but a playing standard of at least grade four is recommended for the majority of instruments, with higher grades required for some.
A spokesman for the orchestra said: "The first rehearsal for the 2017/18 season will take place on Tuesday, September 12.
"The orchestra does not have a set repertoire so everyone will be sight reading initially.
"If you've been considering starting or re-starting orchestral playing, now is a great time to join."
