TRUCKERS assembled in their hundreds in Teesdale this weekend to show off the might and beauty of their beloved vehicles.
The three-day Barnard Castle Truck Show returned for the August Bank Holiday weekend which this year saw Streatlam Farm play host to 280 trucks, tippers and articulated lorries.
As well as a gleaming display of wagons, spectators were also treated to the annual strongest man contest - with 39 contestants who dragged ten-tonne motors for the chance of a title.
Hayley Toulson, one of the event organisers, said: "People have come from all over - from Scotland and down the country to the West Midlands plus a lot of North-East truckers.”
The show was set up 18 years ago by her father John Toulson, who at the time had a haulage business, and wanted to promote the industry locally.
It has continued as a family-run show and this year had 15 members involved with a host of friends helping alongside.
The shows continues tomorrow (Monday, August 28).
