A MARKET town felt a lot like Neverland at the weekend.

A recording of stage production Peter Pan, filmed live at the National Theatre in London, was screened at The Witham in Barnard Castle on Saturday afternoon.

And to get people in the mood, Teesdale Community Resources Hub offered them chance to fly like Peter by jumping from its 13m high ropes facility.

The Hub’s new cafe manager Philippa Farrar, 34, channelled her inner Tinkerbell to take the leap. She said: “I had to make myself step off but then it was really good.”

Outdoor pursuits manager Jonny Elliott has ‘flown’ using the power fan ropes more than 200 times and runs fun and confidence building sessions at the facility.
