CAFOD will be hosting an evening of music at St Joseph’s Parish Centre in Birtley tomorrow from 7pm to 11pm in support of their Connect2 campaign, which helps communities overseas to fight against poverty and injustice.

CAFOD volunteer Bridgid Duffy will also speak at the event about her experiences as a volunteer in Ethiopia - a country she visited as part of the Connect2 campaign.

Jeremy Cain, CAFOD representative in Hexham and Newcastle said: “2econd Wind are a brilliant local band and there will be plenty of genres for people of all ages to sing along to.

“There will also be bingo and a raffle with lots of exciting prizes to be won.

“Proceeds are of course going to a really good cause and we would love as many people to attend the event as possible.”
