A LIVE version of a popular long-running radio series will feature a selection of the favourite music of a leading North-East Church figure.
The Dean of Durham, the Very Reverend Andrew Tremlett, will be the ‘castaway’, discussing his musical preferences in Desert Island Discs format, at Durham Cathedral, on Friday February 17, at 7pm.
He will select his all-time ‘play-list’ in conversation with Labour peer, Baroness Maeve Sherlock of Durham, at the event based on the evergreen BBC Radio 4 series, presented by Kirsty Young.
Wine and canapes will be served for audience members, with proceeds from the evening going to the Durham Cathedral Choir Association.
Tickets, costing £10, are available from dcca@durhamcathedral.co.uk, or by writing to the Secretary, The DCCA, the Cathedral Office, Durham, DH1 3EH.
