FIREFIGHTERS have put out a car fire on the A1 in County Durham.
Crews from Newton Aycliffe and Sedgefield put out the blaze, which started just before 10am on the A1 between junctions 60 and 61, just past the Bradbury junction.
County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service was called at 9.53am and arrived at 10.05am.
A spokeswoman for the service said it received a number of calls from different locations on the A1.
Another crew from Darlington attended another location but was not involved in the operation.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus and two hose reels to put out the fire.
No one was injured in the incident.
