A MULTI-MILLION pound business park for North Yorkshire has been announced.

The mixed-use development in Brompton-on-Swale, near Richmond, will be called Castlevale Park.

Formerly the home of Harris Hino UK, the site is adjacent to junction 56 of the A1, three miles south of Scotch Corner.

The site, which is suitable for offices, showroom, trade counter, manufacturing and distribution, also has three detached buildings, which are available for sale or to let as a whole or separately.

Castlevale Properties' managing director, Martin Foster, said: "We have had our eyes on this site for some time and with it being right next door to our own offices, we are keen to create something we will be proud to work alongside.

"We have already had several interesting inquiries and an overall masterplan is currently being prepared.

"Given the site's proximity to the A1 and the imminent upgrade of the road to motorway standard, we are expecting considerable interest.

"The site also works well with our nearby proposed business park in Northallerton and we hope to be able to offer high-quality commercial accommodation from both locations very soon."

Agent Chris Fordy, of Strutt and Parker, in Harrogate, said: "Castlevale Park provides an unrivalled strategic location with immediate access to the A1."
