A PRIMARY school has received the Arts Council England Artsmark silver award.
Neville's Cross Primary School received the accolade for a strong commitment to developing a dynamic arts programme.
Headteacher Hazel Bullock was delighted and said: "We want to encourage the creativity of our children and use that throughout the curriculum.
"There is a huge amount of arts activity in our school. This includes art, music and drama lessons, art club, country dancing, pottery and instrument tuition for many children."
Pupils can learn recorder, guitar, cello, violin, flute, clarinet, double bass and there is a music club for younger children, an orchestra and choir.
