AN auction of promises raised £1,800 for Greyhound Rescue.
Lots at the auction, held at the Busby Stoop Inn, near Thirsk, on April 27, included a signed Middlesbrough FC shirt, flying instruction, a selection of wines and professional dog grooming. A sponsored head shave was also held on the night.
The auction was organised by Ann Bruseth and Anne and Jack Blowman.
Ms Bruseth said: "We thought we would be doing well if we raised £1,000, so to get £1,800 is absolutely amazing. Thanks to everyone who came along, everyone who helped on the night and everyone who donated prizes."
