DISADVANTAGED youngsters are getting creative in cyberspace.
The group, asylum seekers' children and youngsters in care, are writing music and songs, taking photos and making videos to put on their website.
Working with Stockton Borough Council's youth service, they are using a £4,500 grant to bring in tutors in writing, making music and digital photography. They are also working towards a Duke of Edinburgh Award accreditation.
Gilberto Da Silva 14, from Stockton, said: "This project is good if you have a musical mind and interest. As I have done this before, I can tell you it is fantastic."
Councillor Alex Cunningham, the cabinet member for children and young people, said: "A website will be a great opportunity for the young people to show off their many and diverse talents.
"This is a fun way of encouraging these young people's creativity and giving them the chance to express themselves in ways in which they might not have tried before."
