Kimblesworth could be termed champions-elect after a Bank Holiday double programme saw them extend their perfect start to the season and soar away at the top.
The manner in which they dismissed the challenges of Shildon Railway and Langley Park last weekend was both breathtaking and demoralising for the suitors to their crown. They now sit 16 points clear at the summit, and have a game in hand.

Ushaw Moor had a super holiday weekend as they picked up two wins to surge into third place with their Sri Lankan professional Omesh Wijisiriwardene again producing both runs and wickets.
They have a home game with Langley Park who are finding life extremely tough having suffered eight straight defeats. Park have the consolation of an unchanged side but will have concerns about facing the in-form home side on their own patch.
Shildon Railway's challenge was derailed last weekend with two defeats and they will view their match away to bottom club Etherley as the chance to heal their wounds and get back on track.
Both teams make late selection decisions.
Brandon received a double boost ahead of their home game with Tudhoe. Scott Hobson returns after recovering from a back injury, while they have a new signing in their ranks. Adnan Majeed has joined from Newcastle and will make his debut.
Hylton entertain Evenwood buoyed by Monday's fine win over Tudhoe.
With Evenwood losing to Willington on the same day they put up a great fight and will view last weekend as a success given their win on the Saturday against the then league leaders, Esh Winning. With both teams having four wins to their credit, it's too close to call.
