HUNDREDS of Darlington Primary School children took part in the eighth Annual Football Festival for boys and girls at Longfield School recently.
Secretary Paul Bielby said: "Over 230 boys and 130 girls have once again shown tremendous enthusiasm for organised competitive sport.
"Since our formation in 1999, children, teachers, parents and spectators have witnessed youngsters showing great pride in representing their schools."
Abbey School were crowned champions of the boys 5-a-side Championships as North Road School finished runners-up.
In the boys Annual Cup North Road went one better to win the competition, with Harrowgate Hill School runners-up.
Hurworth School won the girls Annual Cup, as Mowden finished runners-up.
Fair play winners in the boys category were Mowden, whilst St.
Johns's took the girls' award.
Hurworth Primary girls had an exceptional season and as Durham County Champions will now take part in the National Finals at Keele University.
