MIDDLESBROUGH Mayor Ray Mallon is to field a public question and answer session over plans for a school building in the town.
Local people are being given the chance to raise questions about the proposal to build a school to replace adjacent Hall Garth and King's Manor School, both in Hall Drive, Acklam.
The mayor will chair the meeting at Hall Garth School, on Thursday, June 14, starting at 6pm.
Middlesbrough Council believes the plans will give young people the best possible chance of doing well, and achieving skills and qualifications they need to succeed.
The meeting will give the public a chance to find out more about the proposals, make their own comments and hear other views.
More than 70 per cent of people who responded to a consultation were in favour of the proposals for a new school to cater for about 1,400 students, and which would be part of a £96m building programme.
