PEOPLE across County Durham are being invited to attend a day of community activities and entertainment.
Easington District Council is hosting this year's Action Packed Futures day, at Helford Road Cricket Ground, Peterlee, on Sunday, July 1.
The annual event aims to promote environmental issues and help bring communities together.
Councillor George Patterson, executive member for liveability, said: "We are extremely pleased to be hosting this year's event. Action Packed Futures has been running for four years and has already become a massive success.
"It's a practical and fun event that aims to encourage people across County Durham to take action to improve and protect their environment and communities.
"We hope people will join us in making this year's event the best yet."
Action Packed Futures is a partnership between the seven district and borough councils in County Durham - Easington, Sedgefield, Derwentside, Chester-le-Street, Durham City, Wear Valley and Teesdale - the county council and Groundwork East and West Durham.
Last year's event was hosted by Derwentside District Council at the King's Head playing fields, Stanley, and attracted more than 2,500 visitors.
