POLICE in Consett are appealing for help to catch a car vandal who wreaked havoc in a street.
Between 1am and 1.20am on Monday, ten vehicles parked in Surrey Crescent, Moorside, had their wing mirrors kicked off or damaged. Police estimated repairs would total several hundred pounds.
A police spokesman said: "A man was seen in the area about this time who police are wanting to trace.
"He was white, 5ft 10in, slim and aged 18 to 24. He had fair or ginger hair and was wearing a dark top with a lighter coloured pair of trousers. He was last seen heading off in the direction of Derby Drive.''
PC Glen Cutts is investigating the incident and asks that anyone with information ring him at Consett police station on 0845-60-60-365.
