A MAN who was caught driving after smoking cannabis has been banned from the roads.
Moses Ralph, from Bishop Auckland, was stopped by police on the A6072 at Redworth at about 11pm on December 16.
The 20-year-old, of Craddock Street, pleaded guilty when he appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court today (March 30).
Katherine Hannah, prosecuting, said that police could smell cannabis from the vehicle and Ralph admitted to them that he had taken some.
Ralph, who works for his father’s company and drives commercial vehicles, was fined £360 and banned from driving for 12 months.
