CHILDREN were well-drilled when Gurkha soldiers visited a school.
A dozen Gurkhas travelled from their training base at Catterick Garrison to spend the morning at Abbey Junior School, in Darlington.
They appeared at assembly and taught year six pupils about Nepalese culture and Army drill.
The visit was part of a series of activities enjoyed by year six children during their final few weeks at the school.
Headteacher George Ford said: "We try to enrich the children's last few weeks at Abbey with as wide a range of experiences as possible."
