PEOPLE keen to unearth their family history can get help.
The Northumberland and Durham Family History Society is returning, by popular demand, to the Clayport Library, Millennium Place, Claypath next Tuesday.
Members will give information and advice from 11am to 3pm, and there will be a talk called Embarking on Family History, at 2pm.
The event is one of a series organised by the library to help celebrate Local and Community History Month.
Beamish Museum will have an information stall at the library on Saturday, from 11am to 3pm. There will be a free talk at 2pm.
Children can get involved in free crafts and stories with a local history theme on Sunday, from 2.30pm, and Dr Dorothy Hamilton will share her passion for local history in a talk on Monday, at 10.30am.
