RESIDENTS of a Darlington house, including children, were dragged to safety by friends and neighbours after a kitchen fire.
The fire gutted the terraced house and left it unsafe, according to the fire brigade. The family are now staying with neighbours.
Although no people were hurt, two Golden Labradors were killed in the blaze at Kempton Court, Red Hall, Darlington.
The fire brigade were called to the scene at 5am on Sunday morning.
